Foundation Costs

While many foundation problems are similar, each one demands a customized solution to provide the best value and performance. At Baird Foundation Repair, we take pride in making the costs for these repairs as clear and easy to understand as we possibly can.

To help you decide if our solution is right for you, we provide free foundation repair quotes. Each quote includes an on-site inspection, professional assessment of your foundation issue, and detailed cost quote that we build with you for your home.

Why Should I Fix My Foundation?

Many homeowners wonder if foundation repair is a necessary expense. At Baird Foundation Repair, we strongly recommend fixing any problems for the following reasons:

  • The problem will get worse: A foundation problem never gets better on its own. As it gets worse, the problem will cost more to fix.
  • Resale value: Who wants to buy a house with a foundation problem? Nobody!
  • Appearance: Foundation problems often cause ugly cracks — not only in the foundation itself but inside the home as well.
  • Door and window operation: As your foundation fails to hold the structure in place, your house will bend and twist. This will cause doors and windows to stick and jam.
  • Use of space: Sometimes you can lose the use of your space because of foundation failure. That’s not what you paid for when you bought your home!
  • A safer home: It’s unusual, but disasters like foundations collapsing, chunks of brick veneer falling off the house, and other serious safety hazards do emerge.
  • Keep pests away: Insects and animals can get into your home through cracks in the foundation, becoming unwanted and uninvited guests.

The Supportworks Network

At Baird Foundation Repair, we are proud to be a part of the Supportworks dealer network, which consists of nearly 100 of the most experienced structural repair contractors in North America. We receive top-of-the-line foundation repair products and training to ensure that we are always providing cutting-edge technology and quality service.

Supportworks engineers not only focus on product design and quality control; they also provide technical support to engineers, architects, building departments, and general contractors.

All of our System Design Specialists are trained on how to design a foundation repair system that will give you successful results without “over-engineering” a system that costs more than it should. Your representative will be basing the cost of your repair off a price sheet. You’re protected from variable pricing, and you won’t need to worry about negotiating the bottom line.

Why Choose a Supportworks Dealer?

Foundation repair solutions vary in cost, depending on the type and severity of the problem and the tools, materials, and time required to complete the work. For example, the amount of excavation required to reach a damaged footing is one factor that can affect the cost of a foundation settlement repair.

Another cost factor is the depth that piers must be driven to reach competent strata when underpinning a settling foundation. The good news about the repairs undertaken by Supportworks dealers is that they are much less disruptive and much more economical than total foundation replacement.

The Bottom Line…

Supportworks dealers never start by pricing high only to offer a discount at the end that makes you feel you’re getting a “great” deal. Although the cost for a foundation repair will vary depending on the type of system and level of difficulty, you can rest assured that you will get a fair, competitive price for your final results.

Choosing a Supportworks dealer to repair your foundation ensures that your foundation will get the most professional treatment with the best available technology and products. Should you need it, each of our products is backed by a full written warranty.

The Real Estate Disclosure Act

The Real Estate Seller Disclosure Act requires that foundation problems be disclosed to potential home buyers. Realtors say that they have to discount a home with structural defects 10 to 20% in order to go forward with the sale of the home.

People are very hesitant to buy a home with a structural defect, and if they do, they certainly don’t pay full price for it. Even if you negotiate a lower price with a home buyer, the bank may be hesitant to grant a mortgage on a house with a major structural problem.

What is your home worth in today’s market? Not fixing your foundation costs you much more money than fixing it. It’s simply an investment that makes sense!

Trust We've Earned

"I was very impressed... I didn't get any other bids. Being in business myself, I got a good feeling about Baird."
Walter
I used google to read reviews on foundation companies. I called several companies. Baird was not the first company I called. Our experience with Baird started with a visit from Brain, who did an inspection, and listened to our concerns about the foundation. Before Brain left he was able to give us a plan and price. My wife and I were left in shock at the price. Several weeks went by and we had other companies come out. Brain kept in touch, always in an informative way, not in a sales pitch way. It turned out all companies were recommending the same plan, but the other companies were going to use a different system. Baird was not the cheapest, as I signed the contract, I was still worried that maybe I was making a mistake. I decided that instead of missing work for the full job, I would take the first day off and my father in law would be there for the remainder of the job. I was told there was no need for me to take off work; the foreman could meet with me after hours. I met the foremen, Diego after my workday. After meeting Diego, I felt more at ease with my decision to use Baird. Diego explained what was going to happen, and why their system was better. You could feel that he was proud of this company and of his crew. My father in law opened the house for day two, half way through the day he called and I knew something was wrong. I was incorrect, my father in law was calling to say how wonderful the men were, so professional, hardworking and considerate of our home and of him Getting around the yard and house with a cane was difficult. The crew helped him get around, explaining what they were doing and kept him updated on the progress. My father in law enjoyed his time with the crew; he was even presented a Baird cap. I visited the site one day during my lunch hour and was impressed by the crew; everyone was friendly and informative on what they were doing. Everyone talked with me about how long they had worked with Baird and why it was a good company. I may be old fashion, but the crew was always polite, never heard a bad word, never saw any poor work attitude, One morning, I tried to take the trash out and several of them jumped up and finished taking it to the curb. How does a company find this type of employee? I was present on lift day, and It was quite an experience. Diego informed me that he would be lifting slow, and in sections to protect the home. He had me stay close, showing me what they were doing. Diego had me look at brick lines, and told me to stand here, or bend down her and look at this. In the hours that the crew worked, they lifted the house 4 and ½ inches. At the end of the lift an engineer showed up to inspected the job. Next was clean up, my yard came out looking good. The crew sweep and mopped inside. On Saturday Diego called to make sure my wife and I were happy and if we had any concerns that he could address. The only issue was the mailbox was placed a little lower than original. Diego said they would come out at our convenience and place it at the height we would like. I’m not use to a company doing work after they have received payment. Throughout the process I felt like my family and the Baird crew had bonded. Rusty came by a few times and made sure we were pleased with the job. The owner even called to make sure I was happy with the work. If you’re looking for a recommendation, I can say I was very pleased with the work Baird did and I will recommend them to my friends.

We bought a house built in 1917. It still had the original cedar post pier and beam foundation. There was termite damage and a lot of rot. The house was heavily leaning - needed new posts, beams and leveling. We got many quotes, but only Baird Foundation Repair offered to put concrete posts for a reasonable price. Everyone else offered sub-standard pad and block foundation for the same price. They also noticed that the sub-floor joists in one corner of the house were completely rotten and needed replacement. They gave a very good quote to replace those as well and we took their offer. The work took around 10 days and was carried out well. The house was leveled, new posts and beams put in. The only complaint I would have is that the company is not top notch when it comes to customer relations, but they get the work done well and that's what matters for years to come.

Mr. Chaney was very professional. They were always on time and their price was reasonable. Their work was superior. I would recommend them to anyone.
