Our Story

William “H.” Baird, Melanie’s father, started the business in 1969. John started working under H learning the trade in 1981, so when H passed away in 1983 John succeeded H in the business. John and Melanie became sole owners of the family business, known today as Baird Foundation Repair, in 1987. Now, John, a certified foundation and concrete repair specialist, and Melanie, an accountant have spent over 30 years growing the business to what it is today. Together, they take pride in serving home and business owners of South Texas.

For John and Melanie, family is everything. So at Baird, they’ve always instilled a culture of a close-knit family and hope that transcends to their customers. Their personal mission is to “wow” every customer and exceed expectations every step of the way.

John and Melanie have three children, Jessica, Jade, and Will, and two granddaughters, Olivia and Ella. In their free time, they love spending time with their family, watching their son play football (Go Tigers!), and are always up for a good home improvement project.
