Challenge

Recently retired homeowners in Pearland, Texas, part of the greater Houston area, were ready to tackle long-awaited home improvement projects. High on the list was restoring their driveway, which had gradually become uneven due to settling concrete and developing cracks. The shifting slabs not only affected the appearance of the home but also created potential tripping hazards. Wanting a long-term solution rather than a temporary fix, they contacted Baird Foundation Repair to evaluate their driveway repair options.

Solution

After scheduling an inspection, our System Design Specialist performed a thorough evaluation and determined that soil erosion beneath the concrete had caused sections of the driveway to sink. To restore the surface, our production team used the PolyLevel® system, drilling small, pea-sized holes into the affected slabs and injecting high-strength polyurethane foam beneath them. The expanding foam lifted and stabilized the concrete with precision. Once leveling was complete, NexusPro® Joint Sealant was applied to cracks and joints to block water intrusion, followed by SealantPro® to protect the driveway from moisture damage, weather exposure, and chemical wear.

Result

The driveway was successfully lifted, leveled, and sealed, improving both safety and curb appeal. The once uneven surface became smooth and stable again, giving the homeowner peace of mind and helping them check another project off their retirement bucket list. With professional driveway repair completed, the concrete is now better protected against future soil movement, allowing the homeowner to enjoy a clean, durable driveway designed to last for years to come.
