When a San Antonio homeowner lost her husband, she took on the responsibility of caring for their home. At first, she noticed cracks along the outside walls and later discovered interior cracks spreading through the original section of the house. With three extensions added over the years, the right side showed the most severe movement. This area was especially important to her because it’s where her grandsons live.

Challenge

Our team was called to inspect the home and identified signs of settlement on the right side, including wall separation and widening interior cracks. The shifting soils beneath this section were causing uneven support, compromising the stability of the structure. The homeowner’s main goal was to protect her family’s home and ensure her grandsons’ safety.

Solution

To restore stability and prevent further movement, our crew installed our Push Pier System along the right side of the home. The piers were driven deep into stable soil layers, transferring the home’s weight away from the shifting surface soils. This system provided the strength and support needed to permanently stabilize the foundation.

Result

Once the push piers were installed, the home was successfully lifted back toward its original position. The interior cracks closed, and the structure was secured against future settlement. The homeowner now has peace of mind knowing her home is protected and that the area where her grandsons live is safe for years to come.
